As a walker, supporter, or staff member, you have registered for the Scouting 4-Day Camp Nijmegen and can camp with us. Our campsite only allows tents, which you need to bring yourself. We ask you to match the size of your tent to the number of people staying in it, so we can make space for other scouts as well.
Are you coming as a group? Please notify us via info@4daagsekamp.nl. This way, we can plan a suitable spot for you in advance.
On the registration form, you indicated your arrival date. Upon arrival, you must first check in at the VIP (Vierdaagse Information Point), where you will receive a warm welcome. Our tent setup team will guide you to a suitable spot for your tent. You will also receive important information and your participant badge. Additionally, you can purchase tokens here to use at the bar.
Our campsite is organized based on different roles. Staff members assigned to posts are preferably placed together. Those who have had night shifts are given a quiet spot. On walking days, the campsite maintains silence to allow everyone to rest and recover from walking, supporting, or working at the post or camp.
There are two sanitary units available for your use. The relaxation area, located on the grounds of Scouting Keizer Karel, offers breakfast and lunch (runners prepare their lunch during breakfast to take with them). This building also houses a bar where you can buy refreshments. Additionally, there is a free charging station for your electronic devices.
If you have signed up for dinner, you can go to the adjacent area where a buffet will be ready for you. Please bring your own plate, mug, cutlery, and, if needed, a chair. You can join others at the table, making mealtime a social event. If you prefer to eat at your own tent, that is also fine.
You also have the option to cook for yourself. Please check in advance whether your gas bottle and hose are still within their valid date.
Many runners bring their bicycles to our campsite. These can be parked in designated areas. A bike is a convenient way to get to and from the start, as parking around the Wedren is challenging.
Since this is a Scouting camp, we hold an opening ceremony on Monday and a closing ceremony on Friday. No matter what role you have in our camp, together we create a great experience and support our runners in achieving their Vierdaagse cross on Friday. Many participants return year after year, which we consider a great compliment.
